Ingredients you’ll need for your Bread Pudding

Eggs – Eggs bind the ingredients, providing structure and texture. They add richness and contribute to the custard-like consistency when baked.

Whole Milk – Whole milk enriches bread pudding, lending creaminess and flavor. Its fat content enhances texture, while its proteins contribute to the custard base during baking.

Light Brown Sugar – Light brown sugar sweetens this recipe with a subtle caramel flavor, complementing the richness of the custard. Its moisture content adds tenderness and depth to the dish.

Sugar – Sugar sweetens bread pudding, balancing flavors and enhancing its overall taste. It caramelizes during baking, adding depth and richness to the dish.

Unsalted Butter – Unsalted butter adds moisture and helps achieve a tender texture.

Cinnamon – Cinnamon adds warmth and its spicy sweetness complements the other ingredients.

Vanilla Extract – Vanilla extract adds a sweet and aromatic essence. Its subtle floral notes complement the richness of the custard.

Salt – Salt balances the sweetness by enhancing its flavors and adding depth. It also helps to bring out the other ingredients’ flavors.

Croissants – You can use any stale bread that you would like. I prefer to use a softer bread like croissants or you can use challah bread to make a great bread pudding.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

Add your bread cubes to a parchment-lined (optional) baking dish and slowly pour the mixture over the bread in the prepared baking dish and let sit for at least 1 hour up to overnight.
