What will I need for this recipe?

Bone In Ham Spiral – A bone-in spiral-sliced ham ensures juicy, flavorful meat that’s easy to serve, with the bone adding depth to the dish’s flavor.

Pineapple Slices – Pineapple slices add tangy sweetness, balance the glaze’s flavors, and create a visually appealing, caramelized topping for the ham.

Maraschino Cherries – Maraschino cherries add a pop of sweetness and vibrant color, complementing the tangy pineapple slices.

For The Glaze

Brown Sugar – Brown sugar provides the glaze’s rich sweetness and caramelization, creating a beautifully glossy, flavorful coating for the ham.

Dijon Mustard – Dijon mustard adds a tangy, slightly sharp depth to the glaze, balancing the sweetness and enhancing the ham’s savory flavors.

Pineapple Juice – Pineapple juice adds natural sweetness and acidity, helping to thin the glaze while enhancing the fruity flavor.

Seasonings – For this recipe I use seasoned salt, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, & onion powder.

How to make Brown Sugar Glazed Ham

Preheat the oven to 375°.

In a small bowl, combine your ingredients for the glaze. Taste to see if you want to adjust to make sweeter or more savory.

Place your ham, flat side down, in a large roasting pan or baking dish. Rub 3/4 of your glaze all over your ham. Be sure to coat the ham completely.

Using toothpicks to secure, place a pineapple slice on the ham with a cherry in the center and secure on the ham. Place pineapple slices and cherries all around the ham.

Cover loosely with aluminum foil and place in the oven for up to 1 1/2 hours. Uncover and brush with remaining glaze all over ham and bake for another 30-45 minutes, being sure to baste occasionally every 10 minutes or so.

Turn the heat up to 425F and allow glaze to caramelize and ham reaches safe cook temp. (145F) Remove and brush with pan drippings. Glaze once more, slice and serve.
